Ok so what is going on here

Well we have seen some  stuff in our time but this hmm  its not up to CAI standards or any standards for that matter.
Its true  your TV aerial can be hanging of  the roof  and still work  but for how long.
1 is it hanging off the lash  well possibly
If your trusty tv aerial is hanging from the co ax cable you have problems,it will gradually of the cliff of doom and  fill the connector box with water in very short measure.
If you see your neighbours tv aerial laying on the roof, let them know we are they will pat you on the back.
Remember loss of soap operas in some  women is detrimental to health

The cause of many tv picture dropouts

Certain  companies such as tesco B&Q love to sell substandard flyleads which go from your wal plate  to your tv set or  set top unit.
They look the part all white and trendy but they hide a big secret they are rubbish.
Even 2ft in your digital  tv reception link  with poor cable with give trouble far better to make up your own with say 2ft  of co ax and  two co ax plugs.
We can supply  high quality fly leads to order and of any  length if say you want to  move your tv equipment to the other side of the room.

Good old doctor who

Well we are pretty impressed with peter capaldi as doctor who,a fine piece of english tv history still going after 50 years.
Now showing our age here in a certain black and white  messing about with a set top aerial trying to get the best picture in time  for the next episode.
At one point we actually used a piece of string to hold the antenna  up blimey  incidentally its sort of how we  got into fitting tv aerials
I became disillusioned with string method  bought a tv aerial and put it on the roof ,actually it is still there

Ouch thats why there is no signal

After an hour of checking  we finally  checked the aerial itself and found this little mess.
No weather lid no nothing
What happened more than likely it  deteriorated and disintegrated blew away in the wind
The customer complaint was  bad pictures during wet weather  problem and a very smug atlas aerials team

Cables hanging eveywhere

Co ax cables need correct support not  just  chucking in in and laying willy nilly.
A long run of cable  under its own weight will slowly damage it and eventually give you troubles on certain frequencies.
External cables  draped down a roof eventually succumb to the effects of wind  wearing them out with to and fro  motion on the abrasives roof tiles

discrete cables

Ideally you don't want any cables draped over your wall,on the other hand we do get called out by people who think they don't need cables Any way moving on those people are pains. Colour of a cable is a big factor in its visibility.Black co ax on a brick will stand out, brown of course is less conspicuous. White hmm well yes... some houses are painted but in any situation we will disguise the cable run by adhering to drain pies and long runs fastened away under a guttering for instance. A really tricky wall type is stone with large projections this needs cable running more at ground level in the course of the wall
